Most People Avoid This Conversation
You are the average of 5 people around you. Not in how hard you work 💼 But in what you allow yourself to talk about.
Last week in our 5AM Club 🌅, the conversations weren't about markets or motivation. They were about estate planning, wills & guardianship, what actually happens to your money in Canada after you're gone. And the uncomfortable question most people avoid: What breaks if I'm not here tomorrow?
These aren't dinner-table conversations. They don't come up at birthday parties 🎂 Most people don't even think about them until it's too late.
But here's the irony 👇
Talking about death doesn't make life darker ⚫ It makes it calmer 🧠✨
When you know where assets go, who's protected, what decisions are already made — you live with less mental noise and more peace of mind 🕊️
What really stood out to me wasn't just what we discussed — but who I was discussing it with. People who don't flinch at hard topics. People who think in decades, not weekends ⏳ People who care about their families beyond themselves ❤️
That's the real power of community. Not hype. Not networking. But being surrounded by people who quietly raise the quality of your thinking.
And this is why the "average of 5 people" idea matters so much. If the people around you only talk about surface wins, short-term money, weekend plans — then long-term clarity never even enters the room.
You don't need to have all the answers today. But you do need to be in rooms where these questions are normal.
