The Handshake That Changed My Life
In 2020, just before the world shut down, I moved to Canada. No job. No money. Living in a closed, dimly lit basement.
Fast forward to today: my name lit up on the big screen at Rogers Centre 🎤 — standing on stage shoulder to shoulder with people I once looked up to from afar.
But it all started with one tiny, almost silly moment.
One day, I spotted Adrian (Canadian in a T-Shirt) walking down a random street in Waterloo. I could have kept driving. Instead, I turned my car around, walked up, and shook his hand 🤝.
That handshake turned into a chat at a networking event I almost didn't attend. That chat turned into an invitation to my podcast. That podcast turned into an introduction to Brandon Beavis.
Back then, Brandon had just launched a little app called Blossom, social media for investors. Today, Blossom has over 400,000 users. I eventually became an ambassador.
And somehow, that journey led to my name on the big screen of Rogers Centre, speaking on a panel alongside the very people I admired before even coming to Canada 🤯
All because I turned my car around. All because I showed up to the room. 🔥
Imagine what could happen if you did the same.
Here's the truth: success doesn't come from waiting for the "perfect moment." It comes from showing up — even when it's uncomfortable.
That handshake moment was my beginning.
